Segundo o edital, três situações
justificam o aumento. A primeira é um requerimento da Del’Oeste solicitando o
reajuste da tarifa. Desde o dia 11 de abril, a empresa está à frente do
transporte circular por força de uma contratação emergencial.
O segundo motivo apresentado pela
administração é o aumento do preço dos combustíveis, peças de reposição, pneus
e folha de pagamento. Já o terceiro é a necessidade de manter o equilíbrio
econômico-financeiro da concessionária.
O último reajuste ocorreu em agosto de
2017. À época, José Maria Costa autorizou a majoração de R$ 2,40 para os atuais
R$ 3,00.
